Oh my, it’s May you say?

So April showers brought…more May showers it seems in Brooklyn. April seems to have flown by and today I look at the calendar and realize it’s already half way through May. Where is 2012 going! Well anyway, things have been chugging along since I hit back to town a month ago. I got to work with a great Australian singer Kim Smith on his upcoming EP, play the Apple Store w/Aunt Martha, and am headed out on a bowing adventure at Brooklyn Bowl this Thursday, opening for Spacehog w/Linfinity. Before heading out of town again at the end of the month for some recording with Aunt Martha, I’ll be playing Jersey CIty Fest with Waking Lights this weekend as well as heading back to (Le) Poisson Rouge for another great Oh! You Pretty Things party with This Ambitious Orchestra. Get your tickets HERE….

A solo EP? What??!!! Yes, after a lot of thought, I’m going to begin work on a solo EP (maybe 3 tunes, maybe 5) of original material that I will probably release through a bandcamp page at some point late in the summer. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time and there’s no time better than now to get it done. Stay tuned for more details…Thanks for checking my site and supporting live music.

Back to bklyn…New Aunt Martha tour videos

So after a great tour with Aunt Martha and a little time in San Francisco (and a great organic farm in Covelo, CA), it’s time to come home to Brooklyn. Thanks so much to everyone that helped me out on the road. SXSW was amazing as usual, and maybe even more exciting this year with all my friends that we’re there. With a few dates up for the greater NYC area (and a super special one that will be announced very soon), I’ll be gigging around and gearing up for Mountain Jam with Aunt Martha in early June. Tickets can be bought HERE. It’s a great festival with a diverse line-up, so consider making the trip!

Lastly, there are some pretty decent tour videos floating around YouTube from SXSW, Georgia, DC, and NYC. This little clip is my favorite, from our Washington, DC show at the Rock and Roll Hotel. Enjoy and hope to see everyone out at an NYC show soon…
