Grant Zubritsky is a native of Philadelphia, but currently resides in Brooklyn, NY. Grant plays electric, upright, and synth bass, along with vox, guitar, synthesizers, and keyboards. Grant records and performs with many NY based artist along with other national touring acts. Along with performing and recording, he teaches in Brooklyn. He has also worked with bands and artist as an arranger and songwriter. In 2010, he co-wrote and scored the short film ‘When You Need Them.’ Grant continues to involve himself in film work and soundscape creation. He continues to seek out multi-media projects, such as scoring and installation art.

Grant holds a degree in Philosophy and Music from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY, where he focused his studies on musical aesthetics. He has also taken Berklee College of Music classes. Teachers Grant has studied with: Marc Friedman (The Slip, Surprise me Mr. Davis), Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle, John Zorn), Micahel Woods, and Jay Scott.

Grant is a proficient player in many musical styles including rock, blues, latin, jazz, bossa nova, pop, reggae, dub, and afrobeat. Grant accompanies dancers and often plays in cabarets shows. During his early days in New York (2006), Grant worked at the prestigious jazz label Blue Note Records. Grant is proud of his involvement in all his different projects.
